Love this video, got a 59 Galaxie Retrac. in my gararge , surf blue and a Colonial white roof. Thanks for making this. Video. 😊😊
I would have expected a 1925 Ghost to be right hand drive. I thought they didn't prooduce left hand drive until 1927 but I must be mistaken. Our family has 3 ghosts and used to have a Springfield Phantom Dinsdale but that has been sold.
Very well presented.
Is this reference to batpod motorcycle in dark knight...
My dream car in every way, it's a classic beauty.
❤
Survival instinct is strong.
Beautiful car. Looks like a 223 cu inch six. BTW, that electric clock was also a factory option. I had a Crestline with the optional 239 cu inch Y-block V8.
Excellent design, high quality, but it wasn't enough
Growing up in 60’s There was a little man and his wife who owned the neighborhood store and rumor had it he was successful in the stock market. He had a 61’ Coupe Deville bought new. His car was the real story of driven only to church. When he went to the bank or anyplace within few miles he walked. Years later in the 90’s I saw the caddy at a local car show still brand new.
Kids got Jim Carrey hair ! 😊
Built back when cars had class !
I really enjoyed this. Thank you.
Great presentation! My dad bought a 1959 Skyliner for my mom to drive back in 1967. It was Colonial White with black/white/gold interior. My dad enjoyed the car more than mom did and we kids loved it. Sadly, by 1968 it was rusted out along the bottom due to road salt. Great memories!
Please don't be reviewing cars that you know so little about! There were serious quality issues, misaligned fenders, doors and trim that caused sales issues along with the fact that the pricing of the vehicles was not enough different from the mercury and Ford models. As far as fuel economy is concerned, they were better than you might expect due to the lack of EPA overreach! Stick with evaluating EVs or something you're more familiar with. Thank you.
And best of all, it's "powered" (I use the word "powered" loosely,) by the infamous Ford Y block, a heavy, long-stroke, stacked-port, low-RPM, rocker-squeaking, main-leaking POS.
a beautiful restoration!
Amazing grille. Beautiful in Geneva Blue.
1:06 - Sounds just like Hunter's daddy, right down to the 'Thank you, thank you, thank you"..
Great color on that Tucker. Very cool.
Hey Drew, no flathead in 54. First year of the overhead V8.
We had a 57 it was black and white. Sorry to say that pink is not right. But everyone likes different things.
I can't imagine the total hours spent in the restoration or this amazing automobile a true work of art and of the highest level of restoration I have ever seen.
whole story is fake
Pto comes off the transmision, not the transfer case.
This car reminds me of my first car,1954 4dr custom line w/manual trans &overdrive w Yblock V8 dual exhaust same green color with a cream roof and racing rib tires. The car moved easily cruised at 85mph. It was a Texas car with no rust. Ford in the day was bringing out mechanical upgrades every year and new front end ball joints made a steady steering car. It had a 6 volt electrical system and served me well when I was stationed in Colorado.
We left Devil's Lake ND, headed due east, held our '54 at steady 85 all the way to the MN border, then SE to east central MN and home. Super nice road car. We've had it to NY and CT also, and to Montana, and Canada. Y-block V8, OD, 6v, all original.
W O W! What a beauty‼️
It probably rode nice from being recently restored, but also '54 was the first year for the new ball joint front suspension, besides the new ohv V8. 🧏♂️
61 is the best.
C’est mon héros ❤🇫🇷
This really takes the phrase "they dont make 'em like they used to" to a new level
I have been looking at the photo I saved after finding it online years ago. So today I decided to dig into the whole story to prove to my friends here at work that the story seems to be true. After finding the video above…. I was so happy to see the genius who built it! Its an incredible story. It made my day! Thanks for buying it for the museum for all to see and marvel at. An amazing creator!
This video literally brought tears to my eyes. This is my dream car. I remember a neighbor had one of these in navy blue when i was a child and I always admired that car. This is the most beautiful pristine example I have ever seen of a 1961. My dream is to be able to afford this car and drive it until the day I die. Cars like this had style and elegance. The garbage they turn out today doesn't compare and never will. All vehicles today look the same..boring bubble cars.
Great presentation
How,many,😊d😊😊oll
Woot woot! Kansas!
Flathead V8 was gone in 1954, replaced with a Y-block.
Sorry but you mistook the lever controls in the interior (22:44). The one closest to the driver's right leg is for the winch. The 2 levers with the red handles control engage the 4WD and the Hi-Low.
impressive! he has a great future ahead of him..freelance
Beautiful car, wonderfully presented. Thank you for the tour. Your voice is like warm brown leather, just perfect for this.
ALL THESE GUYS GIVING THE FREE MASON HAND SING ON YOU TUBE /UNREAL
I owned 1 of those with a v8 and 3 on the tree with overdrive....the 6 volt system was nuts....even the same color...LOL....brings back fond memories
My Dad was known as the CadFather, Ralph Liebendorf. He restored and sold mainly '41 Cadillacs and parts. He passed away 6 years ago but he would have really enjoyed your video. Thanks :)
I think it's a great looking car. And I like the color too. Thank you for the video 📸📸📸📸❤😊😊
Thank you, sir!
Thank you for the history video! I am currently restoring/resto-modding a 1951 Power Wagon to be able to be driven and enjoyed.
No doubt my father worked on the upholstery on this car as he was an upholsterer for RR in Springfield.
1:41 Hence Every Day Something Else Leaks.2:32 are you sure that isn't the speed alert? The top of the speedometer glowed red if you exceeded the speed you set. BTW for what it's worth the '59 Edsel was one of the prettiest cars of the '50's IMO. Beautiful car, love those Edsels! Nice presentation, glad to see a young(er) person appreciate a car like this.
I still own an evo2. At the tender age of 18 I bought my first Delta, in the first month of ownership I worked out how to stop the mileometer from going up. Buy on condition, NOT mileage. Edit- takes about 10 seconds to remove and put back.
